It's been awhile since our last Operator Spotlight but we have fired up the photo booth industries best interview machine again and are excited to welcome Sefa and Kubra from Aloha Photobooths. Aloha Photobooths are a relatively new Victorian photo booth operator who service the Melbourne, Frankston and Morwell regions and the owners of Aloha Photobooths: Sefa and Kubra generously gave up some time in their busy schedule to give us an insight into their photo booth world.

 

When was the first time you can remember being in a photo booth?

 
Sefa: The first time i have been in a photo booth was at a friends wedding. I wasn't sure what it was before but it seemed interesting enough to give it a go. Just like everyone else once you go into a photo booth you keep coming back. From this experience i had a taste in how this business works and the interest of owning and running a photo booth started from here.
 

Describe what you believe it is about photo booths which makes them so popular?

 
Sefa: Photobooths are made to bring light and shine to the event, they are there to entertain people and bring laughter to their faces. It may seem like a simple thing but once everyone dresses themselves into some funky props and looks at themselves it brings enjoyment to their day.  A photo booth hire leaves everyone with memories and laughter to remember them by.
 

How long have your been a "photo boother" and what made you decide to become one?" 

 
Kubra: We only started running our photo booth hire business 6 months ago. We are still new in this but we love what we do with passion, we wanted to bring people memories and laughter and we thought running a photo booth hire business would do exactly that.
 

What are some of the challenges of running a photo booth hire business?

 
Sefa: The only challenge would be not being able to deliver and disappoint the customers and guests at the event. We expect everyone to leave with good feedback.

If you weren't a photo booth operator what would you be doing?

 
Sefa: Me and my partner still have full time jobs, we committed ourselves to run a business on the side so we started Aloha Photobooths.
 

Who in your opinion has the most fun in a photo booth kids or adults, boys or girls, men or women?  

 
Sefa: There is no age/gender to having fun in photobooth it is made for everyone have a laugh.
