Member Case Study - Not Signing Up To Photobooth Finder Earlier Cost Me Money!

By Daniel Bridge (Wooshka Photobooths, Melbourne)

There’s so many platforms and avenues available on the world wide web these days for us photo booth owners to promote our business', but how do we find out which ones are going to be profitable and which ones are just a waste of time and money?

I could tell by just poking around on the website for 10 minutes that it was the real deal

Just because a certain advertising site exists doesn’t mean it actually works and for me when I stumbled across Photobooth finder around a year ago, I could tell by just poking around on the website for 10 minutes that it was the real deal when it came to photo booth directories. I reached out to PBF (via Facebook messenger from memory) just asking a few questions so could understand exactly how the system worked before potentially investing my cashola and all my questions were answered within minutes.

I was definitely impressed with the customer service and professionalism. Not only was the site easy to understand and navigate, the person running it (which i know is Justin now) seriously knew his stuff and was driven to offer a top notch service. I could see it was a system that would make it extremely easy for people looking to hire a photo booth all over Australia find companies that met their needs within the areas they were located. No surprise the name is “Photobooth Finder” because it does exactly that.

Anyway, at this stage I was really investing most of my online marketing time into Google Adwords, SEO and Facebook (which were going nicely, but were extremely time consuming) so I made a mental note about Photobooth Finder, knowing it was something i was more than happy to invest with in the not to distant future and I continued on doing what I was doing.

Around 6 months later I still hadn’t signed up with Photobooth Finder (just through pure laziness) and I saw some Facebook Posts of the sites Google Analytics numbers, and to be honest they were simply HUGE!!! Being somebody that spends a good chunk of time looking through stats and Google numbers I knew I was missing out on plenty of potential bookings by being slack and not jumping on board.

It took just two days for me to get my first enquiry and booking

So I did exactly that and opened up an account, it was super easy and didn't take long at all. It took just two days for me to get my first enquiry and booking from the PBF site and whilst it was nice to see it working so fast, I’d be lying if I said i wasn't a little dirty on myself for not doing so 6 months earlier. I absolutely knew I missed a trick there and it cost me money for sure, but hey I’m on board now and it’s already paid for itself.

I can see how the PBF system is set up to work great for both smaller and larger photo booth hire companies, because you have the option to sign up and be listed for free and just pay for each enquiry received or like me, you can really try to capitalise on the thousands of people being filtered through the site looking to hire a booth and pay for a featured listing, which keeps your ad on the first page of your area for the next 6 or 12 months.

I service Melbourne and with the extremely high amount of numbers searching in that area through PBF it was a no brainer for me to spend the extra $$$ to keep my business front and centre on the first page. Everyone has different business and life goals, but i’m looking to grow my Photo Booth company as fast as i possibly can, so i’m more than happy to spend money on advertising I know will help me achieve this goal. I’m happy knowing I have the main pillars covered when it comes to online marketing.

PBF has actually had the best cost per booking rate of all my paid advertising

PBF has been great for me so far and I don't see that changing given the numbers going to the site growing and the demand for photo booths at events. PBF has actually had the best cost per booking rate of all my paid advertising (better than Adwords and way way way better than Facebook ads). All are different, but all are profitable for me and go hand in hand.

Photobooth Finder has proven to be the King of photobooth directories!

Obviously i’m a believer, although i was never a doubter.

The numbers don't lie!
